B.O.L.T.

Electronic A&D Bound Book Software

Follow a firearm from receipt through disposition in B.O.L.T.'s electronic acquisition and disposition book. Record the identifying details, source, dates, and recipient in the same workspace as inventory and Form 4473 transactions. Search a populated book when you need to review a serial number or explain what happened to a firearm.

Record the acquisition

Choose an A&D book and enter the manufacturer, model, serial number, firearm type, caliber or gauge, receipt date, and source information. B.O.L.T. also creates an inventory record for a new acquisition. The distributor picker can fill in a saved source, and the book's search and filters help you find the entry later.

Follow the disposition

When the firearm leaves inventory, record its disposition in the book. B.O.L.T. supports individual and bulk disposition workflows, and a completed Form 4473 can connect the transfer to the firearm's business record. The book displays receipt and disposition details together for review, while the underlying record keeps the transaction history and audit events available.

Correct errors without losing the trail

If a recorded detail is wrong, use the correction workflow and state why it changed. The book shows correction entries beneath the affected record so a reviewer can see the history. Timing warnings and compliance review tools can draw attention to records that need a closer look; a warning does not make a transaction accurate by itself.

Review and export your records

Search by firearm or party, filter the ledger, and export an A&D book for review outside B.O.L.T. The export controls include date-range options, and the account also provides backup and records-export tools. Your FFL remains responsible for checking entries, keeping required records, and following the rules that apply to its business. B.O.L.T. is a recordkeeping tool; ATF does not approve commercial software products.
